Purpose of Prayer

Sharing this from our Facebook St. Monica page.

What is the purpose of prayer?

The Lord's Prayer!

Catholics absolutely love The Lord's Prayer.

Not only is it right out of the bible, it was given to us by Christ Himself!

The Lord's Prayer contains everything a Christian should hope for and aspire to be.

It contains everything that we need to live in this mortal world as well as overcome it.

When you pray this divine prayer, think about every word.

Meditate on Christ's Words and go out and live them to the fullest!

I know in my life I have found much comfort in this prayer.

It has gotten me through many scary situations.

I recommend that you pray this wonderful prayer daily.

Welcome to our Beautiful Faith in Christ!

People everywhere are coming home to the Church founded over two thousand years ago by Jesus Himself. Through His Church, Jesus feeds us with His own Body and Blood in the Eucharist and forgives us through the sacrament of confession no matter what we have done! And in spite of all our human frailties and failings, Jesus has promised us that the Holy Spirit will guide His Church and that it will endure until the end of time. There is no alternative, no second best.
